Grants and Loan Forgiveness Programs
The Golden State Teacher Grant Program
GSTG provides up to $20,000 for students who are enrolled in a preliminary teaching credential program or a pupil personnel services credential. Students must have unmet financial eligibility and agree to teach in a high needs school for four years. Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program
Under the Teacher Loan Forgiveness (TLF) Program, if you teach full time for five complete and consecutive academic years in a low-income school or educational service agency, and meet other qualifications, you may be eligible for forgiveness of up to $17,500.
Federal Perkins Loan
You may be eligible to have all or a portion of your Federal Perkins Loan canceled (based on your employment or volunteer service) or discharged (under certain conditions).
Public Service Loan Forgiveness
If you’re employed by a government or not-for-profit organization, you might be eligible for the PSLF Program. The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans
